Team WASP is a cycling & drinking team based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Founded in 1907 by Walter Asperger (Weird Aspy to his friends, who later shortened it to Waspy), Team WASP is celebrating it's centennial anniversary of bicycling in Iowa. While most of the early cycling was done on bicycles that were common at the time (as can been seen in this photo of Walter), nowadays most of the team uses wheels that are the same size, front and rear. Team WASP is a friendly team that welcomes new members all the time, however we also sacrifice one random member per month to appease the road god, so be aware that membership does have its risks. If you're interested in joining the team, feel free to post a 'hello' in our forums. Registration is free to everyone, though you will need a valid e-mail address to complete the process.
